Shipping policy

At Unruh Meats, we want to make getting your bulk beef as smooth as possible. Below are your options for receiving your order, whether you pick it up or choose delivery. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.

1. Pickup Option

  • Location: All bulk beef orders are available for pickup at Hilltop Meats, located at 59 Main St. S, Carman, MB R0G 0J0.
  • Scheduling: Once your order is processed and ready, we’ll contact you to schedule a pickup time. Pickup is typically available during Hilltop Meats’ regular business hours.
  • Timeframe: You must pick up your order within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time. If you can’t make it, please let us know as soon as possible. Unclaimed orders may be forfeited without a refund after 24 hours, though we’ll try to reach you first.
  • Requirements: Bring a vehicle suitable for transporting bulk beef (e.g., a cooler or freezer space). You’re responsible for ensuring the beef stays properly stored after pickup.

2. Delivery Option

  • Availability: We offer delivery for an additional flat fee of $100, added to your order total. Delivery is available within 1 hour of Carman, MB.
  • Scheduling: We’ll coordinate a delivery date and time with you after your order is processed. Deliveries are typically scheduled within 25 days of the processing date.
  • Delivery Process:
    • You must provide a valid delivery address and ensure someone is available to receive the beef at the agreed time.
    • Our beef is perishable, so we cannot leave it unattended. If no one is present, we’ll attempt to contact you to reschedule, but additional fees may apply for a second delivery attempt.
  • Condition: We’ll ensure your beef is packed and transported properly to maintain quality. Once delivered, you’re responsible for  storing it correctly.

3. General Shipping Terms

  • Risk of Loss: Ownership and risk of loss transfer to you upon pickup at Hilltop Meats or delivery to your address.
  • Delays: We’re not responsible for delays caused by weather, road conditions, or other factors beyond our control. We’ll keep you updated if issues arise.
  • No Returns: Due to the perishable nature of our beef, we cannot accept returns after pickup or delivery. See our Return and Refund Policy for details on handling order issues.

4. Costs

  • Pickup: No additional charge for picking up at Hilltop Meats.
  • Delivery: $100 flat fee, payable with your order total. This fee covers transportation and handling and is non-refundable once delivery is scheduled.
