Welcome to Unruh Meats! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase of bulk beef directly from our farm. By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Ordering and Availability

  • Order Placement: Orders can be placed via our website at unruhmeats.ca. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation by Unruh Meats.
  • Product Availability: Our beef is sold in bulk quantities, quarters, halves, or whole animals and is subject to seasonal or supply limitations. We’ll notify you if an item is unavailable and offer alternatives or adjustments where possible.
  • Accuracy: You are responsible for providing accurate order details, including quantities, cuts (if customizable), and delivery/pickup preferences. We are not liable for errors caused by incorrect information you provide.

2. Pricing and Payment

  • Pricing: Prices are listed per pound on the carcass weight. You are also responsible for the cutting a wrapping cost which will be billed to you separately.  Prices are subject to change without notice. The price at the time of your order confirmation applies.
  • Deposits: A non-refundable deposit is required for bulk orders. The deposit amount and due date will be communicated at the time of ordering.
  • Final Payment: Full payment is due once we send you the bill. We accept [list payment methods etransfers, or credit card.
  • Taxes and Fees: All applicable taxes or additional fees (e.g., delivery charges) will be included in your total and disclosed before final payment.

3. Delivery and Pickup

  • Delivery: If we offer delivery, it will be scheduled at a mutually agreed time. You must provide a valid delivery address and ensure someone is available to receive the perishable product. We are not responsible for spoilage if no one is present or if the address is incorrect.
  • Pickup: If you choose pickup, you must collect your order at Hilltop Meats within the agreed timeframe. Unclaimed orders may be forfeited without refund after 24 hours, though we’ll attempt to contact you first.
  • Risk of Loss: Ownership and risk of loss transfer to you upon delivery or pickup.

4. No Returns or Refunds

  • Due to the perishable nature of our beef, we cannot accept returns or offer full refunds once an order is delivered or picked up. Please see our separate Return and Refund Policy for details on how we handle order issues.

5. Product Quality and Use

  • Quality: We strive to provide high-quality, farm-fresh beef processed to industry standards. Minor variations in weight, cut, or appearance are natural and not considered defects.
  • Storage: You are responsible for properly storing the beef after delivery or pickup. We are not liable for spoilage due to improper handling or storage.
  • Use: Our beef is sold for personal consumption. Reselling or commercial use without our written consent is prohibited.

6. Cancellations and Modifications

  • Cancellations: You may cancel your order with a full refund (minus any non-refundable deposit) if requested at least 4 days before the scheduled processing or delivery date. After this point, cancellations may not be refundable.
  • Modifications: Order changes are subject to availability and must be requested by contacting us before processing begins.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unruh Meats is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your purchase or use of our beef (e.g., illness from improper cooking). Our liability is limited to the purchase price of your order.
  • We are not responsible for delays or issues caused by events beyond our control, such as weather, equipment failure, or supply shortages.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All content related to Unruh Meats, including logos, photos, and marketing materials, is our property. You may not use it without our written permission, except for personal reviews or feedback (see our Privacy Policy for marketing use details).

9. Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these Terms as needed. The version in effect at the time of your order applies. Check our website or contact us for the latest version, effective as of April 1, 2025.
